With the interchange now complete and Walgreens currently under construction, what other stores and services would you like to see in Plumas Lake? Let us know!
If I had my way there would be a Trader Joe's. A gas station is also a must. I agree that it would be nice to see an Arco or a Tower where gas is a little cheaper. A nice coffee shop would be great, but who can afford that these days? Do people really still spend money on that? Hmm, a $3.50 cup of coffee, or a gallon of milk. Please forgive me, I have been watching to much CNN.
I totally agree you can make it at home and some for your friends too at that price. I've never been a coffee shop drinker. Which we didn't have them where Im from
A blockbuster would be great or like Jen said any movie store. Arco definately but lets hope the prices aren't always jacked up because of our location. A grocery store Raley's or Safeway they are both expensive and I probally wouldn't shop there except for when I ran out of something or needed something quick but it would help. Plus it could create jobs for the teenagers who having nothing better to do than vandalize! A sandwich shop would be great as well. I have to agree everyones suggestions are somewhat the same.
Before we start wishing about other retailers we would like to see come to Plumas Lake we first need to support the one who has already made the commitment, Walgreens. No other business will even think about coming here if Walgreens not only survives but does well. I have changed my shopping habits so that I buy everything I can, from my shopping list, at Walgreens and anything they don't carry I get elsewhere. Yes, Walgreens may be a little higher on some items than elsewhere but at least I don't have to drive 10 miles for milk anymore. Bottom line, we should start buying more things, that we need, from Walgreens to show other businesses Plumas Lake is a thriving community that can support several retailers.
As far as what type of other business I would like to see come here. A Taqueria that also sells beer.;)
Agreed. I try to buy everything I can from Walgreens now. For other businesses to justify breaking ground here, the ones who have made to commitment already will need to succeed.
1 Strip Mall should do it... Safeway, Ross or TJ Max, Trader Joes, Dry Cleaners,.. no fast food! but little restaraunts would be nice, Chinese, Italian with hand tossed Pizza and a Taquaria.. Umm and a UPS store and if theres room an Ace Hardware, oh and we cant forget a Beauty Salon that also does Nails... Ok if we had all that there would be very little reason to leave...
